Description
The GG-1 was designed to provide the Pennsylavania Railroad with a high-speed streamlined electric locomotive to replace the older P-5s. Fast and tremendously powerful, the GG-1s hauled both freight and passengers, and outlived the PRR itself, serving with the Penn Central, Conrail, Amtrak, and New Jersey Transit, with the last units being retired in 1983.
Prints of this artwork are available in a variety of sizes, frames, and mountings. There are also greeting cards and other products using this image.
